Health Development and Performance (HDP)

VISION: HDP aims to become a Rapid Action organization, the most dynamic in Africa, which designs innovative and sustainable solutions adapted to the changing context, to ensure a better and more developed life, for Rwandans particularly and Africans in general.

MISSION: HDP’s mission is strengthening the Rwandan communities in particular and African in general in implementation of joint or individual actions by using available and appropriate means in contributing to: Achieving the welfare of the population; Improving the quality of social services; Encouraging the population to actively participate in development, to use and appreciate services; Innovating adapted solutions to newly identified needs.

WHAT DO WE DO: Our work is done through 3 Units:

1.HDP NGO: HDP undertakings are mainly Project implementation and Consultancy. The expertise developed in the organization has grown up over time from health financing to public health areas including but not limited to Tuberculosis, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Malaria, Nutrition and School health.

2. Health Facilities: HDP partners with various stakeholders of the health system in Rwanda to provide quality health care services to the population. Services are rendered through a network of health facilities composed of a Health Centre at Gikomero in Gasabo District and two health posts at Mukuyu and Kibara in the above mentioned catchment population. The primary package of services is comprised of curative, preventive, rehabilitative and community participation.

3.Health Investment Management: Health Investment Management (HIM Ltd) has a mission to provide financial services to committed entrepreneurs in general and especially to entrepreneurs in the health area by facilitating increased access to finance needed to improve on the health service delivery.
