Francois Xavier Bagnoud Rwanda (FXB Rwanda)

Our History

FXB Rwanda is affiliated with FXB International (FXBI), an international NGO created in 1989 by Albina du Boisrouvray to honor and sustain the humanitarian commitment of her only son François-Xavier Bagnoud, a helicopter pilot who lost his life during a mission in Mali at age of 24. In 1989, his mother, family and friends founded FXB to continue his spirit of rescue and perpetuate the values of generosity and compassion that guided his life.

FXBI started working in Rwanda in 1995. FXB International is headed by Mrs. Christine Eggs who is also the advisor of FXB Rwanda’s Board of directors. FXB International’s coordination office is at Geneva-Switzerland. FXB Rwanda has a privileged relationship to apply the FXB Village model program, a community based program in two districts of Rwanda. FXB Rwanda became a Rwandan Non Governmental Organization in 2012.
