Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC) is a Rwandan Government Organization affiliated with the Ministry of Health. It implements policies and strategies set forth by the Ministry of Health. RBC seeks to promote quality, affordable and sustainable health care services to the population through innovative and evidence-based interventions and practices guided by ethics and professionalism.

The mission of the Ministry of Health is to provide and continually improve affordable promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative health care services of the highest quality, thereby contributing to the reduction of poverty and enhancing the general well-being of the population. The Ministry of Health is responsible for setting policies and strategies for the entire health sector and for monitoring the implementation of these policies and strategies.

Girl Effect was founded by the Nike Foundation in 2004, Girl Effect builds youth brands across multiple channels including mobile platforms to inspire and equip girls to make informed choices about their health, education, and economic future. Using social & behaviour change communication (SBCC) approaches, Girl Effect develops evidence-based SBCC campaigns linked to girl-focused brands to build her agency and motivate the adoption of safe behaviours. We work in thematic areas key to adolescents’ well-being, including health, education, and economic empowerment.

Established in Rwanda in 1984, CARE International in Rwanda has over thirty five years’ experience supporting women and girls in Rwanda’s rural communities, while working with the Government to effect lasting change, and strengthening civil society for localized impact.

Reseau Des Femmes Oeuvrant pour le Developpement Rural is Non govermental Organization which was founded in 1986 and its  mission is Empowering rural vulnerable women so that they are fully involved in the transformation of their lives and become actresses and vectors of a positive change for the durable development.

Tantine is a Rwandese social enterprise which uses innovation in solving pressing challenges around sexual and reproductive health. Since our foundation, one million youth have accessed our life-saving information via our app, website (https://www.tantine.rw/), SRHR Animated Videos and Tantine Playing Cards.

Caritas Rwanda was established in 1960 by Catholic Bishops of Rwanda. It was officially recognized as a non-profit organization by the ministerial order nr 499/08 in 1962, and became a non-governmental organization according to the law no 06/2012 of 17/02/2012 governing the management and governance of religion-based institutions in Rwanda.

Our History

FXB Rwanda is affiliated with FXB International (FXBI), an international NGO created in 1989 by Albina du Boisrouvray to honor and sustain the humanitarian commitment of her only son François-Xavier Bagnoud, a helicopter pilot who lost his life during a mission in Mali at age of 24. In 1989, his mother, family and friends founded FXB to continue his spirit of rescue and perpetuate the values of generosity and compassion that guided his life.
